San Jose is the economic, cultural and political center of Silicon Valley. It is the county seat of Santa Clara County, the most affluent county in California. San Jose is the largest city in both the San Francisco Bay Area and the San Jose-San Francisco-Oakland Combined Statistical Area.
Approximately 180 square miles and home to over 1 million residents San Jose is notably known as the “Capital of Silicon Valley”. Additionally, the area is home to SAP Center and Avaya Stadium, which are the official homes of the NHL’s San Jose Sharks and the MLS’s San Jose Earthquakes, respectively.
