Montclaire is a post-war neighborhood in Charlotte, built to meet the needs of the growing populations of the city’s suburbs as the metropolitan area’s population continued to grow. Most houses in the area are brick homes on quarter-acre lots, and continue to be sought after by young families, drawn by the neighborhood’s community churches, schools, and parks. The neighborhood is adjacent to SouthPark Mall, the largest in North Carolina, and has many of the area’s main shopping destinations. It is a short drive from Charlotte’s Uptown, while the Tyvola and Archdale light rail stations also offer quick, direct access to the center of the region.
